Appuldurcombe House, Isle Of White - The spirit of a beautiful woman has been witnessed in the Stable Cottage. From the Gatehouse window figures have been seen moving from the gate down the drive. Unearthly noises are heard in the Stable Cottage when no one is there. Eerie shadows have been witnessed dancing on the walls of the cellars, and workers have had the sensation of being watched. An eerie presence is felt in the Gatehouse, while unseen hands leaf through the visitor's book. Many visitors have reported cold spots and unexplained temperature changes in the Great Hall. Visitors have felt that someone is brushing past them on the main staircase. A flickering candle is repeatedly spotted floating around the main staircase. A ghostly carriage has appeared on the pathway near the entrance to the grounds. Near the Freemantle Gate a boy's laughter has been heard
Arreton Manor,Isle Of White - Count Slade de Pomeroy used to own Arreton manor, it is written that he was often woken by sounds of tapping on the door in his bedroom, once opened the door no-one was there, then another time opening the door and he was pushed backwards by unseen hands. His housekeeper apparently saw who inflicted this upon the count, she said that she had seen two monks shove him, then they just disappeared. Chanting monks have been heard here too.
Apparently there had been a vicious family murder and a young girl was pushed from a top window to her death many people think this has cause many of the hauntings here. A little child in a blue dress is often seen and heard, crying Mama Mama, she has been seen by a former worker of the residence. Another shade is of the figure of a woman wearing a red gown. Many visitors feel a sense of disorientation, feelings of been watched and foreboding they can no longer stay in the building. Lights have been on when no one was in the building.
Chambercombe Manor, Devon - A former tenant pulled back the curtains in a hidden chamber and he saw the skeleton of a young woman. Footsteps have been heard walking through the manor.
Duncombe Park, North Yorkshire
Fiddleford Manor, Dorset - Footsteps have been heard coming from the solar. After workman lifted floorboards after installing central heating, many phantoms were been witnessed. A ghost of a man wearing a brown robe and leather apron and a black velvet hat, also a knight in full armour, after the floorboards were relaid only then the ghostly visits stopped.
Snowshill Manor, Gloucestershire
Llancaiach Fawr Manor, South Wales, Llancaiach Fawr has several ghosts, Martha's ghost a former housekeeper, a Victorian gent wearing a tall hat, the most famous ghost here is Colonel Prichard, he has been spotted in the great hall and the chamber which was once his study. Ghost of children have been witnessed on the grand staircase. The halls cross passageway is also visited by the spectre of a limping manservant. The staff have been witness to much anomalous phenomena.
